what paintball gun should i get as a beginner?
i want to play speedball and i want to get a paintball gun because i going more and more now and i dont want to keep borrowing my friend's gun. i was thinking about a spyder vs1 or spyder mr1 but im not sure
ive speedballed a coupled of times already and ive tried a 98 custom , a spyder imagine, and an ion. but i dont know a good one that is not horribly expensive but not break on first use cheap
I would recommend a spyder VS2. I have both the VS1 and the Ion. The VS1 is a good gun, but the traditional electro-mechanical fire system used in it makes high rates of fire difficult and the gun has alot of kick so your accuracy gets thrown off easily. The ion is a good speedball gun but not for a noob. The electro-pneumatic system requires more maintenance than the older style mechanical system, and the gun is prone to electronics problems. The gun will get very high rates of fire but unless you plan on putting alot of money into upgrades for the ion, the gun is no good for you.
What I like about the VS2 is the fact that it uses the electro-mechanical system but under a low pressure. That means it will be easy to maintain and wont have a ton of kick. The trigger frame on the gun is also better than the VS1 so your ROF should be higher. The VS2 is also a steal right now, $155 which is only $15 more than the VS1.

I don't recommend you get an MR1. The reason is because their woodsball guns and mechanical semi auto only. If your serious about speedball you wont get an MR1
