5 Essential Paintball Accessories
There's nothing worse than being unprepared—especially when you're playing paint ball. Paint ball is a sport that requires you to be on top of your game at all times if you want to win, and if you want to win you're going to need more than a paintball gun. Besides giving your paintball gun a sleek upgrade, paintball accessories are really fun to use, and can actually help out in keeping your equipment working like new. Whether you're just starting out in paint ball or are a master with your paintball rifles, you should be stocked up on the right paintball supplies that can make or break your game. Here is a list of 5 essential paintball accessories that anyone can benefit from carrying in their paint ball bag.
1) Spare parts kit: You should always have a spare parts kit in your paintball bag. Paintball guns have been known to malfunction, especially after frequent use, so it's best to be prepared for a malfunction and have a spare parts kit. A spare parts kit usually includes: -Spare O-rings: O-rings wear out after a while, so every one, at least once, will need to replace them. If you have ever experienced an air leak, you probably needed a new O-ring. -Allen wrenches: These are handy for stripping your paintball marker on and off the field quickly and efficiently. -Oil or lube: Comes in handy when your gun feels like it's getting jammed or if you've recently changed a part out.
2) Goggle Spray and Towel: These are two of the most easily overlooked items by players, but they're so crucial. You can't hit anyone when you can't see, so to keep your mask clean and clear, bring some spray and towel.
3) Squeegee: Never underestimate the power of a good paint ball barrel squeegee. These are absolutely essential then playing paint ball. A squeegee cleans the barrel of your paintball guns when paintballs break in them. If you don't clean and clear out the barrel, your gun won't shoot straight or in some cases, won't shoot at all. Keeping your gun clean really helps the longevity of it and keeps you from having to take it in for costly repairs and keeps you from having to spend even more money on a replacement.
4) Extra Batteries: Nothing stops your game faster than your gun's batteries dying. If you have an electric gun, you should invest some extra battery packs to have on hand so you can enjoy continuous play without interruptions.
5) A scope: If you prefer to use paintball rifles, you absolutely need a good scope. Scopes are really handy in helping you hit your target with the utmost precision and accuracy. Scopes really give your paintball rifles a professional look and feel, and people really know you mean business when you show up to the field with a nice scope on your rifle.

Tippmann 98 Custom Questions?
Im looking at buying a Tippmann 98 Custom as my first paintball marker. I have a few questions about it.
1. If i use Co2 as my first source of power then i use an Air tank, can i just take off the Co2 then attach the air without having to do anything to b e able to start shooting again?
2. Where can you get the cheapest marker package that comprise of the Tippmann 98 Custom, a mask, paintball holders and a battle pack (The seller must be able to post to an address in England)?
3. Which paintballs work best with the Tippmann 98 Custom?

i agree with the above poster's 1 and 2 but have to disagree with 3. in my experience, paintballs and barrels are basically the same size, but there are minor differences. barrels can range from 0.660 to 0.680 sizes. if you have a ball that is a 0.680 size and try to shoot it in a 0.660 size barrel it will blow up in the barrel and you will just drip goo out the end. likewise a 0.660 ball in a 0.680 barrel will come out but won't go very far and will be terribly inaccurate. barrels usually have their sizes marked on them, but balls don't the way to test is ask the shop if you can have 1 or 2 of the balls (more than one is a good test in case the balls vary in size due to cheapness, expensive balls are more consistent. then you drop the ball in the barrel. if it falls through its too big, if it kinda sits in it and slowly rolls through its not too bad. if it does not go through, put your mouth on the barrel and blow. if the ball doesn't budge and you feel like you are going to blow out your eardrums, the ball is too big. the best fit is when you have to put a little air pressure behind it and the ball shoots out with a POOT! sound if you can get a barrel and brand of balls that do that consistently you will be much more accurate with way better distances. also, if you can't afford a set of barrels, and have to choose between one thats too small and one thats a little too big, go for the one thats too big, it won't be as accurate as a perfect fit, but at least they won't break. then save up for some nicer barrels.
