My Hopper Elbow isn’t Fitting on my TippMann! What am I doing wrong??

Hey guys, so heres wuts up. I have a Tippmann Alpha black Paintball Marker, and I have the red/green sight on the top rail, only problem is, when I put on the hopper, is blocks the view. So I heard someone telling me about getting a “45 degree hopper elbow”

I go to Dicks Sporting Goods, get a “VL BOW” didn’t describe the size or anything, and there were several of them. I try to put it on, but it seems it doesn’t want to stay, it slides out. There are two pieces, the elbow and a small “sleeve” that comes apart. I believe that sleeve needs to be bigger because the small connector slide is just falling into the whole hopper. I screw it on, but it just slides out.

My question is, What Am I Doing Wrong?? or What Elbow Do I Need for my Alpha Black?
Here’s what the Elbow looks like, its the clear one

The problem is, the Alpha Black can’t use a standard elbow – it has it’s own special elbow that’s already a 45° elbow. Getting a new one won’t help, even if you did get one made for the gun. The hopper will always be right there in front of the site.

Can you mount the site at an angle or to one side of the rail?

Your only other option, which can be costly, is finding a Warp Feed or getting a Q-Loader. Warp Feeds (which i think are out of production now) mount to the side of the gun while a Q-Loader is typically mounted underneath the barrel. Both have a tube that leads to the feedneck.
