beginner to paintball, in need of advice & direction?
Hey,
So I have gone paintballing twice in the past and really enjoyed it.
Well, I decided rather than renting I'd purchase my own equipment (no more sweaty wet used masks).
Well I went on amazon.com and saw they had some sets.
It is my friend and I, and he got the Tippman 98 custom

I looked up some reviews on youtube and see that the alpha is pretty large... It hasnt come in yet for me to try for myself.. but while it is large I feel like being 6'2" helps me out with longer arms & carrying it...
Opinions on the equipment that comes with it?
Anything else I should purchase?
Any mistakes I shouldnt make when purchasing equipment?
Anything you wish you were told when you first began paintballing?

the most use full thing i can tell you when you are starting is to hang out around your local field as much as possible and pay attention to the more experienced players there even back them up when they need it. i learned so much just from doing this when i started.
you for sure need a good set of goggles this is where you want to spend the good money mainly because cheap goggles fog really easy, are uncomfortable, and are usually made of hard plastic making it easy for others to get a head shot on you. i would look for high end goggles usually around $100+ but if treated properly you wont need new ones for year i recommend the v-force grillz they have removable foam so you can have 2 sets of foam that you can switch out when they get wet. co2 should be ok for a while, hpa is better but tippmanns are not the most accurate markers so you will notice little difference. but later on you may want to invest in a remote line and tactical vest this will make your marker feel more authentic and you wont have that bulky tank in the way.
electronic loader should not be on your mind right now because a stock alpha black is not going to break any records with your fire rate, but if you decide to get an e trigger then i would look for an electronic loader that will feed about 20bps because your marker will only fire about 15-17bps
