Airsoft Gun Uzi Video

why havent modern gun manufacturers switched over to electronic weapon select fire triggers?

on weapons (guns) that rely mainly on the sear to determine the method/ROF (like an ak, tec-9, uzi, etc...), why havent they adapted newer weapons like these with sears with electronic controls & a solenoid as is done on low end electronic paintball guns- with a light internal setup & the right programming high ROF & very easily changeable & disarmable if needed, lots of options, etc...?

What it boils down to is reliability.
If your battery dies in a gun fight you will die.
A mechanical trigger makes more sense from a reliability standpoint.
How fun would it be to be at war for months at a time and have no batteries?

Electronics fail. That's the bottom line.
If you drop a Glock in the water, pick it up out of the water, shake the water out and it will fire, every time. Try that with a battery powered paintball gun.

It does sound like a good idea in theory, but I think it's impractical for
firearm purposes.
