How to Get Sponsored in Paintball
Why would you want to get your paintball team sponsored? The answer is simple: money. You know better than anyone just how expensive paintball equipment can be; if you play paintball often you know how easy it is to blow through a few hundred dollars every time you buy new ammo and equipment. You'll find this to be totally unnecessary if you can find someone to sponsor you. When you have a sponsor, they will pay you a certain amount of money which you both agree upon. While they may not pay all of your expenses, they will definitely help to lighten the burden.
The catch is that you have to advertise for the company that sponsors you. This way you both get something in return. Companies, usually small businesses that are located in the area, have been sponsoring local teams for decades, usually in sports like baseball and football.
Paintball's ever increasing popularity is making it just another sport and therefore able to be sponsored. You will find that advertising for your sponsor can be fun and easy. Traditional methods include putting their name and/or logo on your uniforms and equipment, fliers, articles, emails, and distributing promotional information for them at events. If you are not actively seeking out a sponsor, then you are missing out on a great opportunity to make money to support your team, while having fun and doing what you enjoy as well. Of course, getting a sponsor is not always an easy task. In fact, you may even be reluctant to contact local companies and ask them for sponsorship. You will find, however, that as long as you know the correct methods of approaching potential sponsors, it is not difficult to find companies that are willing to cover your expenses.
If you are going to get a sponsor, then you are first going to have to approach a company with your pitch. Honestly, this is the most difficult step of the whole process. You may imagine that most business people are very busy and don't have time to discuss things that don't involve them. While this is sometimes true, you will find that the majority of
businesses are willing and even eager to discuss such matters with you. Businesses will be especially happy to talk to you if you have something to offer them, and in this case you do; you have the ability to provide them advertising at a great price.
It can cost businesses a lot of money to promote their business, and paying for your paintball equipment is probably less expensive then their other means of promotion. Not to mention the fact that they will probably get much more exposure from sponsoring your team than they would from the other, more traditional methods. When you look at it this way, you are actually doing these companies a favor by approaching them; it is up to them whether or not they want to take advantage of the great offer you are making.

Is ACU/Woodland Combo a good look?
I am looking to get some gear for paintball/airsoft. What do you guys think about having ACU uniform, Woodland IBA and MOLLE Gear and woodland PASGT helmet look? Or would ACU helmet look better with this setup?
I don't know if you're talking about a real PASGT helmet (which is damned expensive!), but they make inexpensive covers for those helmets - that way you can adapt your camo to your surroundings.
I have to agree with the guys above, ACU is not very effective in woodland scenarios. If you just want to wear it to look cool, have at it. If you want to actually conceal yourself so you can annihilate your buddies, BDU or tiger stripe is much better. So is MARPAT.
