Choosing the Right Ghillie Suit
Before you go and purchase a Ghillie Suit its important to understand and know the various ways that a Ghillie Suit is used so you can find out that best fulfills your needs. The first thing to know is that the whole point of a Ghillie Suit is to provide complete camouflage for individuals who are going to be hunting, sniping or engaged in a game of paintball. Made from natural materials, like moss, leaves, twigs, covered in mud, and manure to eliminate the human scent, which differs from basic military BDUs (battle dress uniforms) - put together to create a suit that will provide you with camouflaged invisibility.
Ghillie Suits come in various shapes, styles, designs, weight, colors and many other customizable features. When choosing the right Ghillie Suit for you, you should take in consideration that they can be a full body suit, Ghillie pants, a poncho style upper body suit, or you could even get a Ghillie hat. Ghillie suits usually, almost always, have their pockets inside the lining to store ammo, water, food and other necessities; because if these pockets were on the outside the pockets and its contents would get damaged or fall out when crawling on your stomach. Depending on your need, the weight of your Ghillie Suit can range from a mere 2 pounds to as much as 10 pounds. For the beginner hunter, sniper, or paintballer looking to blend into their surrounding we recommend the Ultra-Weight Ghillie Suit, because it will be easier for them to maneuver and wear the Ghillie suit. The Light Weight Ghillie Poncho
Choosing which Ghillie Suit is the right one really depends on two things - mobility and maneuvering. The weight of the Ghillie Suit should be a big part when choosing the right Ghillie Suit, because if you intend on standing for any periods of time, it would be best to purchase a lightweight Ghillie poncho. I recommend the lightweight poncho, because this will give your legs maneuvering freedom, as the backs of the ponchos extend all the way to the ground, so you will be able to lie down and remain undetected. The Full Length Ghillie Suit Poncho
If you want complete coverage, then the full length Ghillie Suit Poncho will best fit your needs. You will want a lighter weight suit, like the ultra-weight Ghillie Suit featured on our site. These types of Ghillie Ponchos can be trimmed down to fit your height requirements and be an overall better fit. Another important point to make is that if you will be on the ground or be crawling for any periods of time, I recommend that you choose a Ghillie Suit that uses a Velcro, as opposed to zippers or buttons. No, not unless you buy one in a package deal that comes with a tank. As for the tool kit, it already comes with all the needed Allen wrenches, but you'll need SL33K, or any DOW33 based grease, to lube the marker during regular maintenance. Also, it wouldn't be a bad Idea to stock up on some of the various O-ring the SP-1 uses. Carry some rags and/or paper towels as well to wipe down the marker and the internal parts when performing maintenance. A barrel squeegee is also a good idea, even though the marker shouldn't chop paint, that doesn't mean it NEVER will nor that you'll won't ever have a barrel break. Even if neither ever occur, paintballs will leave residue in the barrel that after time can effect the accuracy.

Where can i get the lube?
Most, if not all sporting goods stores that carry paintball equipment should have it, most online paintball store carries it, and there's also EBay. You don't have to use SL33K, but Smart Parts highly recommends you do since THEY make it. You can use Hater Sauce/Marmalade, TechT Gun Sav, whatever. I just find it easier to just go ahead and use SL33K since it's priced pretty much the same as the others. If you bought just straight DOW33 in bulk it'd be the cheapest route, but honestly, with how a little grease goes a long way, a 2 oz tube will last even an avid player months.
Should i buy it from smartparts.com?
No, there's no need. Buy it wherever you find it to be the cheapest for you. Besides, I'm not sure Smart Parts has free shipping like most online paintball retailers. If you have a local paintball retailer/sporting goods store you may want to buy from them. This way you help keep them in business if they repair broken markers (should yours ever need fixing) and possibly prolong the life of the sport in your area. Who knows, you might be able to get them to throw in extra O-rings for the SP-1 and/or the SL33K for free just for buying from them instead of online.
