Optional Equipments Constituting Paintball Gear
Most of the games played have two sets of equipments. One of them is the primary equipments that are indispensable for the game. Equipments that may not be integral to the game itself but can help improve the standard of the game substantially. While equipments like the paintball guns and caliber paintball are integral to the game other accessories like pads, and gloves are optional.
Additional Equipments Use
For instance; a baseball player will require bat and ball to play those are indispensable accessories of the game. However, the helmet, shin guards, and abdominal guards are some additional accessories aimed at providing protection and raising the standard of the game. In the same analogy, some optional equipment is also necessary for improving the standards of paintball games.
Types of Other Paintball Equipments
Some of the equipments used for paintball games are pads. Pad packs are used to increase the carrying capacities of the paintball guns. Pads are rigid shells containing flip flop lids that can carry 100-140 extra balls throwing paints. These are pouches that facilitate use of the pads by clipping them to the belt of the player or on the harnesses.
For protection of knees from rocks, gravels, and other dirt on the Ground while running, kneeling, sliding, or jumping, pads are used extensively in the game. Pads are used not only for knees but also for elbows and hands as well. While any clothing is acceptable, players usually wear long pants and also long sleeved shirts those are durable in nature. Objective of such apparel is to protect skin from abrasion. Stands are sometimes used by players for use of larger equipments like bazooka or the launchers.
Rules for Use of Equipments
Paintball games are usually played with multiple varieties of rules as well as variations. Basic objective of the game rules is that every player should try to get a goal without being shot by paintballs. When a player is hit by paintball and it breaks instead of bouncing, the player should raise the gun or bazooka he is holding. It will indicate that he is out and the player will leave the field.
According to the rules related to the game players may continue playing even when hit by caliber paintball or may be eliminated from the game completely.

First actual airsoft battle, advice?
I've had small skirmishes with around 3 or 4 people but I'm going to a bigger airsoft battle (birthday party) with around 15 - 20 people this weekend and in a bigger area.
It's about around 4 - 5 acres big and half is all wooded area with a lot of cover (trees, bushes) and the other half is urban where there is a tree house and few pieces of cover there mostly it is wide open......
I'm all set with the weapons and gear (paintball mask, holsters, camo) so please don't mention that.
Any airsofters here have a some info on maybe tactics and tips on helping me out.

shoot them before they shoot you
make sure you have a lot of amo
when you need to reload make sure you are hidden and reload fast
i say don't always mark up your aim because it is real easy to miss still and it takes a long time
but aim up your shot if your are sniping
if you are in open just rapid fire against the opponent
a little trick i use is hit and hide
