If you became evil, how would you know you were evil?
I don’t know if evil people know they are evil? Like that time I shot a guy on the street with a paintball gun. I thought it was funny. Now that I think back, I see it was wrong, but I didn’t at the time.
I don’t think you were evil. I don’t think “evil” is the issue. Everyone does messed up things sometimes. People hurt each other. It’s sad but true. They don’t often even realize it when they do it.
When you shot that guy with the paintball gun, it was a wrong you did out of innocence.
You know, Socrates believe all evil was a result of human beings not knowing themselves. He said “Know thyself.” He was talking about exactly what you are saying.
